What Friends of the Honey Bee is doing to improve the environment for bees

Friends of the Honey Bee campaigns to build public awareness of the environmental problem facing the UK honey bee population.

As well as lobbying on behalf of the honey bee, a major part of our strategy is to encourage private householders, farmers and large corporations to plant bee-friendly flowering plants throughout the honey season.

By planting flowers, flowering trees and shrubs in gardens, hedges, meadows and fields, we can all do our bit to build a food-rich habitat for the honey bee and, as an additional benefit, increase the biodiversity of the British countryside.

With your help, we will help overcome the significant problem of food and forage for bees in the environment. We will all help make the honey bee population stronger and more able to resist the threats placed upon it.

Please join us today in making Britain buzz with bees again.
